Mooswald near Fresach is located in the tourist region of Lake Millstatt - Bad Kleinkirchheim - Nockberge, directly in the Alpe-Adria region and offers numerous tourist attractions and sporting activities. Lake Millstatt, also known as the jewel of Carinthia, offers a particularly idyllic, warm and southern atmosphere due to its proximity to Italy. The lake is picturesquely situated between the Carinthian Nockberge, has a water temperature of around 27 degrees and offers plenty of water sports and various beaches.
Alternatively, the public swimming pools in Paternion and Radenthein offer plenty of swimming fun in summer!
The region also offers numerous hiking trails, bicycle and mountain bike tours, all kinds of events and excursion destinations and a wide range of culinary highlights.
You can ski in 3 nearby ski areas, the Sportberg Goldeck on the Gerlitzen, the ski area in Bad Kleinkirchheim or on the Katschberg, with a total of just over 800 kilometers of slopes. You can reach all 3 ski areas in around 30 minutes by car.
Directly in Fresach you will find sufficient shops for your daily needs, as well as a good selection of restaurants.

wonderful place, great host. If you like peace and nature, that's the place to be.
Communication was very quick and the key easy to find. The view is great but the homeowner can't help it ... that was all about the positive things. We had old rotten bread on a shelf and a piece of old salami in the sofa bed. It was basically clean, but it wasn't enough to vacuum under the beds. By “authentic” I mean beautiful, old furniture in the style of an old wood / farmhouse. But it was all just boring and old. Ugly tiles, old bathroom furnishings, old kitchen, old curtains, the beds weren't really comfortable, the duvets looked like they were from 1960…. Disgusting! Oh yes, a roller shutter was broken and the room could not be completely darkened and a fire alarm was empty ... All in all, nice view and good location, but this house is a money cow that you just keep milking without changing anything.
