Chalet in Carinthia near ski area
Kötschach Mauthen, Carinthia, Austria
This combination of 3 chalets for a maximum of 24 people is located in Kötschach-Mauthen in Carinthia in the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Slovenia, near the center and offers a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain landscape.
The 3 chalets have a total of 12 bedrooms, each have a large living room with a separate seating area, a modern fully equipped kitchen with dining table, 3 bathrooms, a ski storage room with ski boot warmer and a terrace. You can park directly at the chalets (carport) and a washing machine and dryer are also available.
This ski-in/ski-out chalet is approximately 100 meters from the ski lift, which takes you directly to the Kötschach - Mauthen - Vorhegg ski area, a small ski area with 6 km of ski slopes and 37 km of cross-country ski trails
Kötschach-Mauthen is located at the upper end of the Carinthian Gailtal, embedded in breathtaking mountain formations, belongs to the Nassfeld - Pressegger See tourism region and offers a good selection of restaurants and shops, all hiking and cycling tours, the Hike World with 25 themed trails and a large swimming pool ( Aquarena water and wellness oasis). Other ski areas in the region include the Nassfeld ski area with 110 kilometers of slopes, the Zettersfeld ski area at the foot of the Schleinitz in the Lienz Dolomites in East Tyrol with 21 kilometers of slopes or the Golzentipp family ski area in Obertilliach in the East Tyrolean Hochpustertal with 12 kilometers of slopes.
Also visit the Wolayersee and the Frischenkofel to experience the impressive mountains and lakes. In summer, the Waldbad Mauthen natural swimming pool or the Pressegger See east of Hermagor offer lots of swimming fun!

Some points that weren't right #The terraces have been cordoned off because the balcony railings are already falling down! This is not stated anywhere. #The dishwasher in Apparent 642 is defective and cannot be closed We bought salt and rinse aid because everything was perfect at all the apartments! # the fan in apartment 642 by the bathroom only switches off after 5 hours. # There is a broken plug in the socket in the bedroom! # About the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired! #2 Families left early because it was too cold for them.
We were with 24 people for 14 days in the house and a bit surprised by the layout. It is a semi-detached house and a semi-detached house, each with 3 bedrooms, a converted sleeping loft and sufficient bathrooms. Unfortunately, the fact that the attic can be reached by a ladder and has no door made it impossible to accommodate the small children there. Each house has a very well-equipped kitchen (induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, ...) with an adjacent large lounge area and a terrace. Unfortunately, there is no room for 24 people in a common area, but there is a private area between the houses with a small playground and enough seating. Since we were lucky with the weather, we could usually eat outside together. The location is great, you can walk to the swimming pool, to go shopping and bakery, to leisure activities such as rafting and to various restaurants, ice cream parlors, etc. As a restaurant we can use the forest tavern very recommended. Other leisure activities are also easy to get to by car.
Krásný, čisté domky. Dobře vybavené. Když je však málo sněhu, musí se dojíždět daleko k vleku.
