Cosy holiday home by the slopes
Rauris, Salzburgerland, Austria
This completely renovated holiday home consists of 2 separate parts. You will stay in the right wing with a modern kitchen, a bedroom with bathroom en suite and a living room with comfortable seating area and a cosy fireplace. The ski storage is for common use and after an exhilarating day in the beautiful region, you can get together on the terrace with a view. Carefree enjoyment!
Directly past the house is an entrance to the ski slope, so you can leave from the front door with your skis on for a lovely active day in the snow. In winter, parking is available under the carport. So scooping out your car is not necessary here.
Rauris has a varied and modern ski area. The altitude of the ski area reaches up to 2175 metres. From here you have breathtaking views of Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner (3798 metres). The ski area is clear and offers plenty of easy runs. There are excellent practice slopes, ski schools with playing fields and treadmills. This makes this ski area very popular with families with children. The ski bus is included in the ski pass price. Want to ski somewhere else for a day? The Gasteinertal, Zell am See and the Hochkönig region are easily accessible. The Rauriser Valley is also known for its many tour skiing and cross-country skiing opportunities and winter hiking trails.
In summer, you will find yourself in a narrow green valley surrounded by mountains belonging to the National Park Hohe Tauern. Within 30 minutes you can reach Kaprun's famous glacier. You can ski all year round here! In Rauris, you have access to a hiking network with more than 295 kilometres of marked trails. There are hiking trails for all levels, where you can choose from day hikes, themed hikes and multi-day hikes. Guided hikes are also possible. Rauris is located in a water-rich area, with waterfalls, mountain lakes, small streams and brooks. A visit to Wasserspielplatz Summerpark Rauris is worthwhile, as is a refreshing dip at Freibad - Sonnblickbad Rauris. The region is home to extensive cycling and mountain biking routes, and canyoning, rafting and via ferrata are also among the possibilities.

Guests say this:
The cottage was in a perfect location. Less than a fifty-metre walk and you were already on the piste.
The couch was worn through and would need to be replaced, the upstairs bedroom was swarming with silverfish. This was not very nice.
Super good service and the cottage was even better than our expectation. Definitely would love to go there again....
The flat was fine. Everything you need was there. Even a washer/dryer. Just a pity you had to check the bedrooms every night for silverfish.
