Probable the best cabin in wood we’ve been to. Definitely will come again but for longer time. We just fell in love with the place!
A wonderful place to relax, slow down, sauna, walk, read, and enjoy. I am already dreaming of our next visit.
For all those seeking peace, this is a fantastic place! The location and the rustic appearance of the cottage were exactly what we were looking for. The fact that the owner took the trouble to largely replace the fenced gate just before our arrival was really great! This allowed the dogs to sniff around calmly, which also gave us peace of mind. The sauna was perfect for ending the day in a relaxed way. Highly recommended!
It was another wonderful few days in the forest cabin. We really enjoy nature and the great forest. And then ending the evening in the sauna - perfect. We are already looking forward to next year :)
Fantastic place. Cozy House with good heating, only the hot water was a bit too little. The owner was very charming, and always available when we had questions. All in all a perfect place when you just want to disconnect from the world a bit.
We (5p and 2 dogs) had a wonderful time in this typical Austrian "Jagdhutte". It is as if you visit an Austrian family, with all signs of family, hunting and local village history. We found that a great asset. We really felt at home. Plenty of board games to play, nice little fireplace, enough wood to burn... Of course the hunting cabin is dated, don"t expect the most modernized kitchen and shower. But everything works and if you search the place a bit, you can find what you need, sometimes in the basement. It"s clean, without the terrible cold looks of a newly made "cottage". You need to be a bit creative, but we love that. During evenings/nights it can be very dark, certainly arriving the first time after sunset is a challenge, bring a good torch :). But also that: we loved looking at the stars, which we can barely do at home. All-in-all we have good memories!
The house is in the middle of the forest in a secluded location with a great view and absolute peace and quiet to switch off. In winter, when there is snow, access is only possible with four-wheel drive or snow chains. The house is very rustic and comfortably furnished. A beautiful open fireplace in the living area and enough space. The kitchen is basically well equipped, there is no coffee machine and crockery, pots etc. are unfortunately very old and unfortunately it was really very unhygienic. Unfortunately, there are no closets to store your own clothes. Existing cupboards still contain the clothes and things of the "owner". It is heated with a wood-burning stove that has to be constantly filled, but there were enough wood and lighters. The sauna was nice, unfortunately it didn't work reliably and kept going out, and the light was broken so you sat in the dark. Unfortunately, due to the many carpets, curtains and old pillows, it is less suitable for people who are allergic to house dust. Luckily we were prepared with tablets and spray. Used panties were found in the bed crack, the bathroom drain is clogged and there was only lukewarm water for the shower. The hut definitely has potential, but it should be improved in some places. I don't think we will book again.
