During winter, Muhr transforms into a winter wonderland. You can start the Murtalloipe cross-country ski trail right on-site, while ice skating and curling—some of which are floodlit—ensure a variety of winter activities. Ski tourers and ice climbers appreciate the untouched nature as well as the proximity to the well-known ski areas of the Lungau, which are easily accessible by ski bus.
For cultural excursions, there are numerous sights in the surrounding area, including historic castles, museums, and the silver mine in Ramingstein.
