Schröllhütte

After the provider's description (wonderful view from the house over the Lavanttal, hikeable surroundings...) and some reviews (dog-friendly), we were really looking forward to the Schröllhütte. The clean house is in a very quiet location, apart from a narrow street above, which is not overly busy, the furnishings are very homely and, above all, the kitchen is very well stocked. What was noticed negatively was that one half of the bed in the large bedroom creaks so much every time you move that you either have to lie still the entire night in order not to wake up your partner, or you have to go into the small bedroom next to it, which is not suitable for two people due to the crampedness is, has to avoid. The garden is absolutely not dog-friendly as it is only surrounded by an electric fence and the gate has fields so large that even large dogs can slip through easily. The dog must therefore be kept on a leash at all times when in the garden. There was no shade on the bench at the back of the house because the only parasol didn't stay in its holder but slipped all the way through. The wonderful view over the Lavanttal can only be seen from the entrance to the town. From the house you can only see the forest and pastures and a small part of the Saualpe. The surrounding area is completely unsuitable for hiking as it either goes very steeply downhill or uphill. This means that the only thing left to walk on is the street or you can take the car that you actually want to leave behind on your vacation and drive into the surrounding area. We imagined our vacation with the dog would be relaxed, but there was only stress and annoyance, so we ended our vacation after just one day and left. A pity!

Lovely beautiful vacation spot! Beautiful views from the mountain. Cozy cozy and clean house. We get an uber Austrian feeling here.

The Poinsitt family is very friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the gravel path described does not exist, but the route leads nicely over mountain paths with unique views. The house itself is very nice and the surroundings are nice and quiet. This landlord is highly recommended

Beautiful region. Great house, forest with hiking trails within walking distance (on the right road, after +- 100 meters up left). No wifi, but we don't really miss that with a more than 4g subscription and some downloads. automatically go to the meadow next door in the afternoon. So you have to keep an eye on your dog. At the Ressnig lake you can swim with the dog. Road up here and there a bit steep but with 2 wheel drive and also fully loaded still good to doen.Je need 20 minutes to the main road, then another 5 to the many supermarkets in Wolfsberg.3 bedrooms, 1 of which is only accessible from the outside, so not suitable for very young children to sleep alone. private wc.Al in all fine here, beautiful regio.Had the garden a kind of sheep / chicken wire around so that the dog could go unattended, then that was completely fantastic.There are no mosquitoes (July) or horseflies.

We had wonderful and relaxing days in the Schröllhütte. It was very comfortable, especially in the living room by the tiled stove and we definitely didn't miss anything. Everything was as in the description and as advertised in the pictures. We found it particularly great that the house is almost in a secluded location on a slope and it was really very quiet. You are in the middle of nature and our dogs could run freely around the house. We'd love to come back!

We had very relaxing days in beautiful surroundings. The cows graze right in front of the house and you have a great view of the area. Everything in the house is fine, very clean and everything is there that you need. The landlords are very nice and helpful. We would love to come back.

A great vacation in a fantastic environment. Very nice landlord and a nice hut. We had a very nice stay and would book the Schröllhütte again - perfect for dogs, by the way, as they can run freely on the property.

Great view in a detached farmhouse. Beautiful nature with mountains and the cows were close to us. The house is furnished with lots of wood and also complete. For a supermarket, you have to be 10 km. drive down, with many curves and narrow passages. The road is unlit in the evening. It is very quiet there.
