Alpenchalets Reiteralm 6

The stay was a story of 2 halves. Firstly the house itself is great, spacious, comfy, has great views and is mostly well equipped. A couple of things could have been better: 1) the house has no laundry facility and neither does the site, so to wash any clothes will mean a 40 minute round trip to the town launderette. To be fair the listing did not say it has a laundry, but seems a massive oversight. 2) some minor fittings need fixing - the control knob on the main shower is missing (but operational), the whirlpool bath did not 'whirlpool' and the kitchen sink plug mechanism was broken but could be worked around by removing it, 3) the en-suite shower rooms in 3 bedrooms are either open plan to the bedroom or glass and so neither offer any privacy. There is a central toilet and large main bathroom which fixes this but in reality limits the usefulness of the rest of the bathrooms. The bigger issue for us was the service experience. We initially had to travel an extra 30 minute round trip to 'collect the key', which was actually just a keysafe code and could have been communicated by email. Next we were allocated parking which was at the bottom of a staircase which had been partially removed and cordoned off. We did get allocated a different space after contacting the management company but they should know the status of their site. The internet went down after day 4 and despite regular chasing was never fixed so ended up paying a lot more mobile roaming fees. The 'pool guy' came every 2 days and kept adding more chlorine to the hot tub which got to the point of actually burning my skin, so we resorted to removing the chlorine tablets after he went just to make sure the tub was safe. Finally, as we had booked a near 2 week stay I would have expected some mid-stay cleaning / fresh towels etc but no. So not sure if these issues are more the management company (Alps-Resorts) or the home owner, but it took the shine off an otherwise potentially excellent house.

Super luxury chalet, beautiful view, pleasant atmosphere, we were delighted when we came in, spacious, nicely furnished, super comfortable couch to relax on, wonderful outdoor jacuzzi, equipped with every comfort! And right on the slopes,

The location was just perfect, right on the slopes. The accommodation was excellent, with great extras such as a ski boot warmer, a sauna and lots of space. We were impressed by the high-quality furnishings.
