Enjoy the first rays of sunshine over a hearty breakfast on the balcony or the roof terrace, with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains.

Just 900 metres away lies Austria’s warmest swimming lake, with drinking-water quality, set in a unique mountain landscape. St. Kanzian on Lake Klopein in Southern Carinthia, with a lake length of 1.8 km and a width of 800 metres, offers ideal conditions for swimming and active holidays. Discover the region on walks, cycle rides along the River Drau or around the lakes, as well as on a mountain bike.

The beaches of Lake Klopeiner See are perfect for relaxing and swimming. In summer, the lake reaches a temperature of around 28 °C and boasts drinking-water quality. Divers also appreciate the clear spring water, with visibility of up to 15 metres. Anglers require a fishing licence; the landlord will be happy to provide recommendations. The newly designed lakeside promenade is ideal for a leisurely stroll, whilst lakeside festivals provide entertainment. A cycle and walking path runs right past the house, and Nordic walking is also possible. From May to September, guided cycling, walking and Nordic walking tours are available. Several mountain huts serve typical Carinthian cuisine and invite you to linger with their traditional hospitality.
