Spacious holiday home with balcony and sauna

This cosy 4-star apartment impresses with its spacious living room that offers direct access to the south-facing, heated balcony. This is where you start your days with a cup of tea and stunning views of Hohe Tauern National Park. You have a large open kitchen and a sauna where you can completely unwind. The lodge is close to the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, surrounded by the distinctive Austrian nature. You can enjoy local dishes in the many mountain huts nearby. The accommodation is located on the outskirts of atmospheric Piesendorf, an authentic village in Pinzgau. Just 500 metres walking distance away, you will find the bakery, supermarket and restaurants in the centre. You can enjoy fresh rolls in the morning, delivered to your door by the local baker!
For winter sports lovers, Zell am See and Kaprun are ideal destinations. On the Kitzsteinhorn glacier in Kaprun, you can even ski from November to May. Zell am See is connected to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm, with 408 km of perfectly prepared slopes. Both ski areas can be easily reached by car, and the ski bus stops just 400 metres from the accommodation. With children, sledding on the Erlebnisberg Naglköpfl in Walchen is an enjoyable activity. As a guest of this accommodation, you will also receive a 10% discount on ski equipment rental at the local Skischule Entleitner.
In summer, the homeowner offers the Fun Sommerkarte, including free access to the nearby outdoor swimming pool (a 2-minute walk away) with several slides and a children's playground. Piesendorf is known for its excellent hiking opportunities and is certified as a hiking region. The beautiful mountain landscape also offers opportunities for mountain biking and rock climbing. An excursion on the local steam train to Zell am See, followed by a boat trip on the lake, is highly recommended. Nice, functional accommodation, in a good location, especially for families with children.
Very nice flat. Spacious and clean. Plenty of space. Kitchen well equipped. Large terrace. Location also good. Right next to it is an outdoor pool, the "Hinkelsteinbad". So we were able to jump into the refreshing water after a strenuous mountain tour in the afternoon. Admission was free with the Fun Card. The "Piesendorf Bad" stop of the local train is also right next to the flat. Very convenient to go to Zell am See, free of charge with the Fun Card. Bakery within easy walking distance. There are many great places to visit with children in the region. On arrival, the caretaker couple gave us lots of good tips for places to go.

The flat is very nice. Unfortunately, the walls to the neighbouring flat are very thin.
Holiday flat had great feel-good character
A very nice holiday flat. Just like the pictures on the website. The balcony with the radiant heater was used daily by us in the cool evening hours. The sauna in the basement is definitely a big plus as well as the washing machine and dryer, which are shared with another flat. The tenants of the only "non-holiday flat" on the ground floor were also very nice. We were allowed to set up our barbecue on their lawn in the garden. Many thanks again for that! There are a total of 4 flats in the house. The communication with the caretaker service was also very pleasant. Everything worked smoothly. Small points are deducted for the early departure time of 9 am, the worn dining table chairs and the underfloor heating. Unfortunately, it could not be turned off in the bathroom and in the bedroom with integrated bathroom. The door to the sauna room was not lockable. We spent a week in the flat with two families, 4 adults and two children (17 and 20 years). In my opinion, the flat is also suitable for 8 people. However, I did not want to spend a holiday with 10 people in this flat. We would rent the flat again.
