Detached chalet with terrace and views
Wald im Pinzgau, Salzburgerland, Austria
What a view huh? This detached chalet overlooks the mountain world, including the glacier, and features luxurious furnishings. The accommodation has a washer and dryer and parking for 6 cars. Prepare your favourite dishes in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the sun on the terrace/balcony. You can enjoy a barbecue on the terrace!
Don't feel like grilling or cooking? Around 900 metres away is a nice restaurant where you can enjoy Austrian cuisine with a large group. Are you sporty and do you enjoy a long morning walk? Then get fresh rolls in the morning on foot in the centre, which is also about 900 metres from the chalet. Ordering online is also possible, and they will be hanging fresh at your front door in the morning.
For winter sports lovers, this luxury chalet is a dream, as if a Christmas card had come to life. The ski bus stop to Königsleiten is right outside the door. There are 3 popular skiing areas in the immediate vicinity: Zillertal Arena, Kitzbühler Alps and the Wildkogel Arena. The latter ski area is really an ideal area for families with children. The Salzburger Superskikarte gives you access to all three areas and you can even use it to take a trip to Kaprun, with the eternal glacier, Zell am See and the well-known Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
The region is also known as a perfect summer area and has even won awards for it. There are several fun excursions for all ages, including a visit to the nearby, famous Krimmler waterfalls and the stunning reservoir near Königsleiten. Are you more into action? The Hohe Tauern is Europe's largest protected nature reserve and offers a true mountain paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. There is also plenty to do for small children. The Wildkogel Arena is home to a hiking trail with 10 large slides. And how about the Mountain Carts with which you can race down the mountain?

From the villa you have a wonderful view of the alpine mountains. Unfortunately we were never able to have breakfast on the terrace due to the changeable weather. Our toddlers between the ages of 8 and 2 had little opportunity to move around the house. Unfortunately there is no playground in Wald and the great playgrounds on the mountain can only be reached by cable car. The discounts with the guest card are minimal and the costs for the mountain railways and swimming pools are not family-friendly. Our mountain hikers were able to do great tours on two days, whereby the long valleys are an "entry obstacle", i.e. the hiking taxi is booked! Nevertheless, we experienced a lot, but nothing works without a car!
Everything was to our liking, clean and cared for and we enjoyed ourselves
A beautifully furnished holiday home with a fantastic view. The additional information we received in advance of the trip about the house and the surrounding area was comprehensive and well researched.
The house was perfect for us, 5 couples. Everyone had their own room and bathroom. The living room and kitchen were very cosy, especially with the fabulous view. The many outdoor seating areas were also wonderful, but unfortunately the weather wasn't right for us. We enjoyed the sauna all the more, unfortunately it only reached a temperature of 70°, there is still room for improvement. We also really liked the garage and the additional fridge, as well as the bins provided for waste separation. All in all, a beautifully situated house, although you do need a car.
We felt very comfortable in the house. The location is fantastic, but all the motorbikes that drive around the toll road with the serpentine road are really loud and annoying. The kitchen could do with a few new pots and pans. It doesn't cost much at Ikea and as a customer you don't feel like you're left with kitchen items that have been discarded. A coffee machine with 2 pots would be easier with so many people.
The accommodation is very good. Clean and cosy rooms. Almost all rooms include a shower and toilet. Gigantic view. The area is fantastic for hiking. We travelled about 80 km in a week, mostly in the rain. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play ball during our stay. 🥲 Kind regards Manuela
We think the layout of the house is very good!
After arriving at the house, we searched for the 7 advertised parking spaces with three buses and two cars. You have to co-ordinate well, because you inevitably have to park in each other's spaces so that all the cars find a place. The room allocation went well, all rooms are almost identically equipped. It was more difficult to distribute the food we had brought with us in the kitchen, as there is very little space in the kitchen. The Wi-Fi works well, the bathrooms are well equipped and there is information material about the surrounding area.
The rooms were all clean and tidy and also quite modern.
It is a very nice house in a beautiful location. Very nice owner and very clean and tidy. I would gladly recommend it. We were with our family of 14 and had a great time. Lots of things to do nearby.
Everything is as described on the site. Beautiful cottage and location!
fine house to stay with 13 people. everything is there.
The house is very large and well suited for group trips.
Great holiday home with a beautiful location and many possibilities to visit different ski areas.
Everything in the house (rooms, bathrooms etc.) clean and enough dishes available, very good location also for walks. The weather was fine and the large terrace was perfect for sunbathing with a fantastic view. All in all, a cosy house for large families. We will be happy to come back.
Beautiful house for 16 people. (Impractical corner kitchen cupboard at top) Bus stop nearby. 1x in the morning 1x late afternoon
Very nice and neat house. Everything is there. We enjoyed !!!! Fine homeowners, perfect communication !
A very beautiful house, tastefully furnished. The view is magnificent. In my opinion, the kitchen is too small for 16 people. And you would need bigger pots for cooking with so many people. And the small dining table is wobbly. It shouldn't be. A new coffee machine wouldn't be bad either. It is also much too small for 16 people. There was no teapot at all. But the bathrooms in the rooms and the sauna are a big plus.
Everything super great house. We will come back anytime. It would be nice to get some free wood for the stove for the first evening.
Top, both equipment and service. We felt comfortable all around Always a pleasure😊🤗👍
We stayed in this house for 4 nights with 11 adults and it was just great. Rooms and bathrooms renovated, kitchen fully equipped, enough seating to eat and relax. Contact with the landlords was smooth and very friendly. Important note: there is no garden and no possibility to use a meadow in the immediate vicinity. The terrace (stone floor) is big enough to barbecue and eat together. We will be happy to come back.
We felt very much at home, the house is spacious and the main road doesn't bother us too much. The house/property could use some more love.
Wonderfully suitable for groups. Beautiful excursion destinations possible in the surrounding area.
Very nice and cosy house, we had a lovely stay and will be happy to come back.
Great accommodation, great room layout for us with 3 families with 2 children each, the children had their own floor. The common living space is very spacious and cosy.
It was a mega beautiful holiday. Everyone said it was probably the nicest house they had ever been to =)
