Description
This lovely holiday home is located right next to the slopes of the Grebenzen ski area in a new alpine resort in the versatile Murau holiday region. This semi-detached corner house has the entrance downstairs, so you don't have to climb the stairs with your ski boots! The brand-new gondola and the ski slope are within walking distance of this house, and from the living room you also have great views of this. The cosy village of Sankt Lambrecht is just a stone's throw away
The village is easily accessible on foot and offers some nice restaurants.
In winter, a fantastic and snow-sure family ski area is available here with the state-of-the-art new gondola lift, so you don't have to queue at the lift. In summer, a visit to the beautiful medieval town of Murau is highly recommended. Here you will find many nice shops and cosy terraces. Besides beautiful walks in the mountains, you can also walk or cycle the Mur cycle path here. This is a famous cycling path along the River Mur that runs right through the region. There are also several golf courses in the area, with Golfclub Grebenzen Mariahof just a 10-minute drive away. In both summer and winter, this region is the ideal place for active holidaymakers. Experience peace and quiet here too, as this region has not yet been discovered by mass tourism. Here you can still enjoy pure Austrian cosiness and numerous traditions. In terms of nature, the region is incredibly beautiful and rich in traditions

Grebenzen Lodge Edelweiss is a great house with all mod cons! Spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms and a nice kitchen. The house is really as the photos indicate. The area is beautiful but less touristy than Tyrol or Carinthia. All the nice places are just a bit further away. We visited Graz, Lublijana, the Red Bull Ring and the Worthersee, among others. With the purchase of the Steiermarkcarte (€90 p.p. on sale at the Spar), many things are free or at a discount. Only downside is that it states that construction activities are until 10-2025. That is probably for the "street" in which the house is located. The real construction of this park will take at least until summer 2026 and probably even longer. Construction will soon start on a new house right behind lodge Edelweiss. House is well insulated though so the noise is not too bad but does start at 6:30am in summer.
