You can often ski there from November to May. The Zell am See ski resort is extensive and fun for beginners and advanced skiers. You have a beautiful view of the lake on some of the slopes. The Kaprun -Zell am See area has no less than 135 km of slopes.

Piesendorf and its surroundings offer excellent hiking with many marked trails in the summer. The region offers plenty of mountain biking, paragliding, rafting and climbing opportunities.
