Description
From the terraces, one of which is covered, you have a beautiful view of the mountains and your holiday will start well. Due to its convenient location on the chalet park, this chalet is in the sun all year round. Gather around the wood-burning stove while the children play in the play area. After an exhilarating day in the mountains, completely unwind in the sauna (Finnish and infrared). There are 4 public e-chargers available in the village and there is even a BBQ set outside!
A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook.
The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet.
Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. A dream spot from January to December!

We visited Chalet Amsel for the 2nd time and it was very clean and cosy. Nothing was missing. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, the chalet village is the perfect place to stay. The on-site service is also very friendly and courteous 👍.
The holiday home was very attractive and very clean. We were greeted with a bottle of red wine. We were able to enjoy these on the first evening. The contact person on site was very friendly. We were already there at 3 pm. A quick call to the contact person and he was there straight away and handed us the keys. The house is ideal for 2 families. Not too noisy, as the rooms are not hard of hearing. There was only a small amount of cutlery. But apart from that, there was everything you need in a kitchen. We can also recommend the Schaupphof. Great food (especially the desserts :) ), fresh and really tasty. We had a great time in Donnersbachwald.
A lovely home that lacks nothing.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The existing hoover was completely dirty and did not work. Intermediate cleaning was therefore not possible. Otherwise the chalet was well equipped and we had a great holiday!

Super nice and perfectly equipped house. The on-site support worked very well. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.
We had booked in Chalet Amsel and it was fantastic! Nothing was missing! A very beautiful and spacious patio with meadow, just great👌 The only suggestion I have is that the towel hooks in the bathroom should be placed higher and that there should be a hook rail on the bathroom doors to hang up a bathrobe, for example. But that is complaining on a high level...otherwise perfect for families and groups. Arrival and departure contact was uncomplicated. My daughter had forgotten something on departure...it will be sent to her home by post. It gets better nicht👍🏽 Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodation! Sonja
Everything was perfect all around. Handing over the keys, support during the stay (accessibility of the contact person), the chalet itself - simply TOP!!! Gladly again at any time!
We had a lovely time at Chalet Amsel. The house was perfect for us (2 families). We will be happy to come back.
A great, nicely spacious house in a cluster of similar houses in an idyllic valley. Great nature and beautiful cottages in the area. The facilities were very high quality. Great sauna, great kitchen. The only negative thing was that the beds were slippery. So if you like to cuddle with your partner or sleep in bed with a child, you very quickly find yourself (one or all) lying on the floor between the beds.
