This ski area is located between the Zillertal and the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental and, with its more than 110 km of slopes, is one of the top 10 largest ski areas in Tyrol. Ski Juwel is suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. There are various authentic villages in the valleys such as Niederau, Oberau, Thierbach and Auffach.

Skiing in the Alpbachtal and Wildschönau

The pistes go up to 1900 metres and in the valley there is a good layer of snow thanks to many snow cannons, in case the weather doesn't play along.  Beginners should not be put off by the many red pistes on the Wildschönau side. These pistes are very wide, so you have enough space to ski down at your leisure. For experienced skiers, there are the FIS runs and deep-snow runs, speed runs or race runs. For example, the valley run to Inneralpbach: a long, exciting slope. Or the Baumgarten run: the ultimate challenge. Off-piste skiing is also one of the many possibilities in this area. There are 17 km of freeride pistes. And for those who haven't skied enough during the day, there are three floodlit slopes for the evening hours.

The ski area is very child-friendly. The area is well laid out and has child-friendly facilities. For example, there are experienced ski schools and good childcare. Ski School Alpbach-Inneralpbach has Penguin Bobo and the Kids' Club, with its own lifts and a magic carpet that takes the children to the top. A true paradise for the kids!!!

Snowboardparks

Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau has 3 fun parks. The most modern is Snowpark Alpbachtal with halfpipe, slides, jumps, boxes, kickers and tracks. For the more experienced boarders and skiers there is the 'Advanced Line' to show off beautiful moves. Enjoy the adventure - for beginners, experienced and families!!! Of course, there are snow cannons to ensure the best snow.

Cross-country skiing and winter hiking

In this skiing area there are over 70 km of prepared cross-country skiing trails for you, in various degrees of difficulty and lengths. The trails lead through the beautiful landscape. For hikers, there are various hiking tours, with or without a guide. You can also join a torchlight hike in the evening.

Other activities

There is also the possibility of tobogganing at Ski Juwel. There are several toboggan runs, lit and unlit. So it is also possible to toboggan down in the evening from a mountain hut where you have had a lovely meal. You can also go paragliding or tobogganing in this area.
