Description
This luxury holiday home previously known as Chalet Barney offers stunning views of the Grossglockner and plenty of privacy. Enjoy the fresh mountain air from the balcony and prepare a breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen. In the relaxation room with a sauna you can fully unwind after a great day in the beautiful region. The garden is a nice place and the bedrooms ensure a carefree night's sleep. There is a grill hut where it is great to have a bite to eat and hang out together. Fantastic!
Rauris has a varied and modern ski area. The altitude of the ski area reaches up to 2175 meters. From here you have breathtaking views of Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner (3798 meters). The ski area is open and offers plenty of easy runs. There are excellent practice slopes, ski schools with playing fields and treadmills. This makes this ski area very popular for families with children. Want to spend a day skiing somewhere else? The Gasteinertal, Zell am See and the Hochkönig region are within easy reach. The Rauriser valley is also known for its many touring and cross-country skiing opportunities and winter hiking trails.
Within 30 minutes you can reach Kaprun's famous glacier. You can ski all year round here! In Rauris, you have access to a hiking network with over 295 kilometers of marked trails. There are hiking trails for all levels. You can choose from day hikes, themed hikes and multi-day hikes. Guided hikes are also possible. Rauris is located in a water-rich area, with waterfalls, mountain lakes, small streams and brooks. A visit to Wasserspielplatz Summerpark Rauris is worthwhile, as is a refreshing dip at the Freibad - Sonnblickbad Rauris. The region is home to extensive cycling and mountain biking routes, and canyoning, rafting and via ferrata are also among the possibilities

The transaction went smoothly. The house is spacious and well equipped for 10 people. On the ground floor there is a kitchen (with 2 dishwashers) and a large living room with a corner bench, a double room and a room with bunk beds as well as a nice bathroom. On the first floor there is another kitchen (which is not equipped with crockery and cooking utensils, but offers a second lounge), two double bedrooms, a room with a bunk bed, another double bedroom with a low ceiling, a bathroom and a WC. In the basement there is another bedroom, shower and WC as well as the sauna. Unfortunately - unlike in the photos - there are no deckchairs. Contrary to the photos, a house was built below the house, the garden of which is framed by hedges. This impairs the unobstructed view. The beautiful barbecue hut can be used for a deposit. The access to the house and the parking situation is more than difficult. The house can be reached via a narrow path that - legally - leads through the neighbour's yard. At the house there is only a very narrow passage into the property and practically no turning possibility. The car is supposed to be parked behind the house, which is almost impossible with a somewhat larger vehicle. Due to a conflict between the owner and the neighbours, it is not possible to turn around, driving out (backwards!) is more than a challenge. This should be pointed out in the description.
