Chalet Poschen

Our stay in Wald im Pinzgau was fantastic. The house is large and spacious, inviting you to enjoy a relaxing getaway, with communal areas and balconies available on all three floors. Additionally, there is the option to have meals outdoors on the property while enjoying the beautiful view. Each floor has a toilet and a shower, which is especially helpful for larger groups. We found everything clean and well-maintained. The homeowner himself is very friendly and helpful, yet very unobtrusive, so you hardly notice that he occupies the bottom floor. Our conclusion: We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.

We are traveling with our two medium-sized dogs (guard dogs) and we specifically look for standalone houses with fenced properties, which this property had promised. Since the house was large this time, we traveled as a trio. The surprise came a few days earlier when we read in the travel confirmation that the owner lives in the same house with a separate entrance. Well, too late, and generally, the friendly Austrians are usually very welcoming, which also applied to the owner. We don't blame him, as he rents out this property through an agency that apparently doesn't take the truth very seriously. While the property did have a garden, part of it was fenced, but this was only for the owner. Our part was not fenced, and just above the property, the old pass road runs through, which is busier than was indicated. Unfortunately, the two cats that the owner had were not helpful either. What we only found out on-site was that the dogs had to stay on the ground floor; dogs are not allowed in the upper two floors. Since our dogs are used to sleeping in our room, we were lucky to be able to use the small bedroom on the ground floor. However, since the house was very noisy, our dogs would bark every time the owner went downstairs or had visitors.

Very nice, spacious, and clean holiday home. Everything you need is there. Friendly and very helpful landlord.

The stay in the house was great, a super nice landlord (many thanks to Herbert for the sausage ;-) ) the view is fantastically beautiful.

Was a lovely holiday, house os fine, only the top floor is very low. But otherwise fine accommodation and the owner is friendly and really does his best for you

If we had seen at the time of booking that the landlord also lives in the house (basement) and that the pool is only there for the running ducks, we might have booked a different accommodation. The use of the garden is also restricted and only partially usable. The landlord is nice and it was also very nice otherwise. A fantastic region for hiking!
