Description
Enjoy a wonderful time in this combination of holiday homes, which are physically connected through a connecting door. The next morning, wake up to an enchanting mountain panorama and get ready for an active day in the mountains. Thanks to its location on the main road, everything is easy to reach. Two of the bedrooms are on the mezzanine, where you will enjoy a carefree night's sleep. The wellness facilities are undoubtedly the icing on the cake!
The chalet is ideally located between the ski lift (about 500 metres) and the centre of Mühlbach (about 700 metres). In the centre of Mühlbach you will find some cosy après-ski bars and there is a good restaurant that serves delicious local specialities. This is easily accessible by the through road where the chalet is located.
Hochkönig owes its name to the 2941 high mountain, which is part of a beautiful mountain massif. There is plenty of activity all year round. Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the 120 km long skiing area. The slopes are wide and generally quiet. This allows you to enjoy wonderful rides. For the experienced skier or snowboarder, there are 3 fun parks and freeride possibilities. The ski area is part of the Ski Amadé umbrella ski region. This also includes Snow Space Salzburg and Schladming-Dachstein.
In summer, you can hike and mountain bike to extremes. Would you like to explore the impressive natural beauty in a special way? Then take a paragliding jump or a horseback ride through the rugged nature!

We stayed at the Tauernlodges over New Year's Eve. Beautiful houses, really well furnished and a great location! Now the "but": the flats are beautifully furnished but poorly maintained (lots of broken furnishings) and unfortunately not really clean. Basically a great holiday, but we wouldn't rent the flats again for the price (of course it's clear that New Year's Eve is extra expensive, but with a price well into 5 figures you can hopefully expect the flat to be in good condition). It would certainly help to have everything necessary repaired and a thorough clean carried out, then they are great flats!
You can find better for that price, although price was certainly not the first criterion for us, it was the space for 20 people and it was disappointing. Only toilet in the bathroom and all rooms do not have their own bathroom. The room of 4 with bunk beds is still ok, the room of 4 with upper lying area is not a full-fledged sleeping place. Anything but well-equipped for self-catering, it is creatively cumbersome. The convoluted and always threatening with punishment rules for waste sorting depresses the holiday mood from the moment you enter. Chalets 2x10 are not fully equally equipped.
A wonderful holiday in Mühlbach in glorious weather. The two semi-detached houses were super nice, great sauna and everything available what you need. Ski bus within 30m walking distance and also the ski area is great. We would love to come back. which occupies both houses is very small.
Very nice house for a large group like ours with several families due to the connecting door of the two semi-detached houses even if it was a bit difficult for guests from both houses to eat together. The equipment is also very positive: sauna, crockery, kitchen tools, etc. The cleanliness of the outdoor area was a point of criticism as there were cigarettes all around. Otherwise highly recommended.
A very nice holiday in the Tauernlodge XL in Mühlbach am Hochkönig. Some minor deficiencies were fixed on site. Top location and equipped to a high standard.
Very nice house. Everything neat and fine host. Bus stop is right outside the door. Quiet ski area and therefore child-friendly.
