Chalet Gnesau

Upon entering the house was disappointing. The photos on the website are not realistic. In real life it is smaller and much darker. The house was also not cleaned properly and we first had to do a lot of cleaning ourselves. After a few days you will get used to it and it will become an increasingly nice house. Despite the fact that there are many defects in the house, we had a fairly pleasant stay in this house.

We spent 7 nights at the Mooshaus in Gnesau with our family of 5 adults and 2 dogs. We thought it was a very nice, spacious holiday home. We were several couples and thought it was ideal that there were so many bathrooms and bedrooms. We found the very complete inventory striking. We also enjoyed the great wood stove. Upon arrival we found the house very clean and all beds were made.

We are already the third time in this house! Unfortunately things have gotten worse. We always came here as a family group (grandparents with children, children-in-law and grandchildren) now there are few dishes and pots, it is almost impossible to cook for yourself. A lot of things are broken, like the floor on the terrace, this is especially dangerous for our little ones! In addition, the house is dirty, like a fully urinated carpet! In the basement, by also sleeping 4 people, it is damp and moldy! The shower stalls are broken, the sink is clogged, the oven and toaster were very dirty, the egg cooker is broken! Defects are only superficially repaired upon request! Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this house and will not book it again in the future. We hope for financial compensation. Recently stayed at this place at the end of June. Initially found the place quite unclean with many cobwebs. It had obviously not been used recently. The downstairs rooms in the basement were very damp, and not really useable for sleeping so as we were 12 people we had to use the lounges to sleep un upstairs. On Sunday morning when there, we woke to find the basement flooding, as the drains were blocked and all the toilet and shower waste was coming out of the basement toilet. We called the owner at 8am to ask for help. By lunchtime they said they could not get a plumber as it was Sunday, so we called one ourselves who came and fixed the drains but we had to pay EUR 360 to him. So far the owner has not responded to requests for reimbursement. A few days before we were due to leave we found a mouse running around in the basement as another dead one too. We decided then to head home early. I would not recommend this place, I know things go wrong on holidays but the owner was non-contactable, and did not assist at all.

A very large chalet, on a spacious plot, of which unfortunately the lowest floor is below water level and is therefore very humid. The clothing and bedding is just moist. At an outside temperature of 25+, we still have to turn on the heater on that floor. The owner is sympathetic and resolves our complaints asap. The chalet should definitely have a makeover!, many small defects.

The holiday home was in a nice, quiet location, not far from the Gurk. The garden is a good size and also very quiet thanks to the trees all around. It is comfortably furnished and nothing was missing. Gnesau is an ideal starting point for the surrounding regions. The holiday home is ideal for families and groups of up to 12 people. We were traveling with 6 people and 2 dogs. Everything was clean, the beds made and towels were also available. The carport had space for our 2 cars. There were enough bins for waste disposal. It was a wonderful vacation. It is absolutely recommended.

Nice environment, the reception did not go well because there is a wrong contact person on the residence ticket, but resolved well. Apartment was very cold on arrival, so after the meter reading was recorded we could heat the house. House is cozy and complete but the kitchen inventory was messy divided between the 2 kitchens. And by our standards we find the apartment not clean.

A room could not be used because there was / is moisture and the heating did not work. All heating is electronic and electricity is billed separately.

Everything was just great and wonderful :-) There were 10 people and had a great time with barbecues, playing games, listening to music, sitting in the sun (June), etc.

Friendly owner who was easily accessible. The house is very spacious with two well-equipped kitchens, two spacious living rooms and a large bedrooms. We were 12 adults and 1 children and there were plenty of bathrooms and toilets. There are also two washing machines present, very nice! The house is a 15 minute walk from the center with shop and restaurants. Enough to do for winter sports enthusiasts. We drove to the ski lifts in 10-15 minutes by car. Had a very nice holliday and this house is highly recommended!
