Silas Mountain Chalet

Beautiful chalet that was very luxuriously decorated, with a large and cosy living space. All possible amenities are available. From the chalet you have a view of the mountains. It is a cosy ski resort. The runs are varied and it is very accessible for children. Thanks to the centrally located lake, there is a wide valley between the mountains, where it is nice and sunny on the terraces. Provided a short walk, you are right on the slopes from the chalet. If snow has fallen, you can also ski right up to the piste along the side of the footpath. By car, you are at the piste in 2 minutes.

This is a very luxuriously furnished and beautiful house, but for us at least, it has some major drawbacks: -No sun on balcony. During winter, the sun is behind a mountain so there is no sun on the balcony all day. -This is not a Ski In- ski out. There is no possibility even for experienced skier to ski from to the house. Walking to the slopes is doable but tough walk uphill over a very steep road. -House is located on a very steep road. Which is poorly kept clean. As a result, driving up the mountain without chains is impossible and walking (first few 100 metres from the house is a dangerous operation. Not doable with small children. -Good to take the entrance from the top of the mountain when driving to the house so you can drive/slide down with the car, rather than from the bottom of the mountain (which is what the navigation indicates) Fireplace may not be used, which is unfortunate, but is now clearly stated in the description. -Carport is very narrow for two cars and too low (ski box cannot be opened under the carport (and on the (steep) road it is also difficult)
